 Pink Magnolia

This collection was girly and playful with a hint of the 70's. There was a play with colours and textures and amazing sunnies!

 

 

 

 

 

Simple by Trista

This collection was a breath of fresh air.  It was very well structured and edited.  It wasn't showy but it stood out.  Loved the colour palette and those metallic shoes. 

 

 

 

   

 Macario Jimenez

This collection started off with structured monochrome pieces with lovely hints of colour on the inside and then the collection flowed into colour and movement.  By the end it was all about the flowy and the transparent.

 

 

 

 

  

Malafacha

The place was packed for their show and we felt we're in for something different even before the first model walked out.  There were ruff collars, asymmetry and an elaborate choreography. It stood out from the rest.

 

I was running late on the third day and running low on outfit inspiration.  I started with this scaled, siren skirt and paired it with a simple black shirt and black brogues.  The clutch by the Mexican designer Lola Basso made all the difference.

Alexia Ulibarri

I loved this show!  The place was packed and buzzing as we were serenaded by the talented LP.  The designer played with the contrasts to a perfection...soft and edgy, modern and classic, pink and black.

 

Zingara

This brand designs strictly beachwear.  The collection was fun and colourful and the golden details were on point.

It was a slouchy green sweater and leather skirt kind of day for me.

 Pineda Covalin

This brand prides itself on its Mexican heritage, so it's a sure bet there will be lots of colours, embroidery and prints in their collection.  This time I found it to be so much more wearable and modern.  The bomber jackets ruled their collection!

 

 

Benito Santos

Benito's collection was equine inspired, there were even hurdles on the runway, but the pieces were glam and elaborate.  Lots of gowns, dark colours and lots of rich wintery textures.  Fun show to watch!

 

 

 

 

 

 

Sandra Weil

So far my favourite collection.  It was wearable and concise.  It was all about those taffeta skirts and I loved it!

Earlier before the shows started there was a brunch organised to promote the Gala x Tous jewellery collection designed by the Spanish blogger Gala Gonzalez. I opted for a a simple black dress, blazer and boots to stay comfortable during a whole day of fashion events. Stay tuned for the photos!
