Abandoned

Photographer Matt Lambros  photographs old abandoned theaters throughout the US for a project called After The Final Curtain.  The photos really draw you in with their eerie and haunted feel.  It's such a shame that these beauties are forgotten but Matt keeps them alive and present with his photography.

  1. It really is a shame, there's such a sense of loneliness in the photos - very emotive. Xx

  5. ah, i love old theaters (well, buildings in general). there is something so hauntingly magical and sadly beautiful about the decay. you can imagine it all lit up with lights and patrons and actors getting ready backstage. and then fast forward to now. there's a theater in my town being revitalized now. it's great to see the progress (the Lyric in Birmingham, AL if you're interested.)

    1. Thanks for the tip! Glad to hear it's being revitalized and not being demolished. Keep me updated :)
