I'm back from a quick Slovenian detour (pics coming soon) with a new shoe crush. Pom poms on shoes, yes please! These pretties are by a fashion director Caroline Issa for L.K Bennett.
Can you imagine looking into Frida Kahlo's closet inside her childhood home? Well, that's kind of what happened when I recently went to an exhibition called Appearances Can Be Deceiving: The Dresses of Frida Kahlo. It's a temporary exhibition held at the Frida Kahlo Museum in the Coyoacan neighborhood in Mexico City. It's a stunning display of her dresses, jewelry and even most intimate details such as her spine straightening corsets and crutches. The exhibition also includes amazing couture dresses by Ricardo Tisci and Jean Paul Gaultier that were inspired by the artist. It was an amazing day among these incredible pieces.
Although I mostly stick to red, nude or black polish I'm really loving the multicolored nail trend, especially when the colors are close in the spectrum. And summer is the perfect season for trying this out.
It's amazing how it takes one to live far away from home, come back and really take in and appreciate the sights of one's own city like a tourist in their own town. I have been living in Mexico for the past 3 years now and have never really taken in the sights of my city, Belgrade, like now. I've been looking up at the buildings since I came, enjoying every moment of it.
